Description
The Bodum Bistro is the simplest of the carafe models I’ve tried – it only has a switch – and it’s pretty bare-bones compared to the competition. For starters, Bodum Bistro can only make warm foam – there is no cold foam option. There is also a spout that allows you to pour foamed milk a somewhat complicated task. In making warm foam with four types of milk, I found that Bodum works best with oat milk. It did a good job foaming skim and whole milk but had trouble foaming the soy. Bottom line: It’s just not as versatile as other foamers. Bodum Bistro is not dishwasher safe, but cleaning is easy. Remove the foam disc, rinse it with water, and wipe it dry carafe with a damp cloth.
