This raw cast iron Dutch oven comes pre-seasoned to give you a head start on the perfect non-stick pot. But that’s not the best part: the lid of this Dutch oven doubles as a pan with two side handles, so you get two pots in one for an incredibly low price. With this, you will be able to cook the soup in the pot while preparing the cornbread in the pan. Our home tester found the pan to work wonderfully as well as two batches at once, like roasting meat. Once they did another round of spices, even the cinnamon rolls came out without leaving a crumb behind. Our lab tested the 7-quart model of this pan and found it to brown chicken beautifully, with crisp edges and very minimal sticking. The cooking of the rice also turned out great, with no sticking or hot spots. We also tested the durability of this model and noted that it can be used with metal cookware and withstand fairly rough handling with no signs of damage – it’s a piece that can certainly be passed down into the future. The downside to the pan function is that the lid doesn’t have a top handle for lifting, and our home tester noted that the handles are very hot when in use.
